He was a lifelong member of Stelton Baptist Church in Edison.Īs a young man, the course of his life changed when a chiropractor helped him recover from a football injury, which sparked a passion in him to help heal others by pursuing a career in Chiropractic himself. He studied at Rutgers University and Rider University. He grew up on Hillcrest Avenue, attending Stelton School, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and Edison High School.
Jim was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on Septemto Nelson Henry Smith of Richwoods, Missouri and Ruth Clelland (Thompson) Smith of what was then Raritan Township (Edison), New Jersey. passed away at JFK Medical Center in Edison on surrounded by family.
